Hi Bobbi, We have had lots of experience with this one as my neighbor next
door is perpetually invaded by squirrels. I happen to rehab squirrels. They
go inside near the shingles on the roof and then inhabit the walls and attic.
A have a heart trap is the best method of dealing with this situation, put
it near the suspected entry point. Peanut butter makes a smelly bait. You
need a larger sized trap than the one used for ground squirrels.

If it is not squirrels, then you may have an infestation of rats.

I would not use a company that does not live trap the animal, I want to see
what the culprit is. That is a sure way to know that you have it. Plus, do
you want to gas your house, you live there?

Hope you find a solution soon, and let us know.

Narda

Oh I forgot you can sometimes borrow traps from animal control or from the
local rehabber. A rehabber might be your best resource, they can catch and
relocate and have the experience to do it right.
