You will probably get all kinds of answers to this one. Personally,
unless the hellebores you left behind were of exceptional merit, I would
leave them where they are and choose new ones. There has been so much
advancement in colors and bloom forms over the past few years. Some many
lovely plants and you can purchase bloom size or near-bloom size by looking
around a bit. If you divide and move the old ones they will be set back to
some degree and you will be bringing only a division to your new garden. Not
the old clump to give you all that mature size.
I would go for new plants.... but, then, I own a nursery.
