While the following web site may not answer all your questions about
snowfall, it provides useful information about snowfall averages around the
country. Here in Woodstock, NY we average about 80 inches at out elevation
(1800') and about 65" in the town.

We have about 14" on the ground now, and the soil temperature, which I
measure at about 4 inches, has been rising slowly. Wonderful mulch. Keeps
some z6 plants going in very cold years.
