Re: shadegardens Digest - 26 Dec 2002 to 27 Dec 2002 (#2002-129)

Mark - thank you for sending the website. It is good to know about,
though it does not tell anything about our site. We are only 20 mi.
uphill from almost sealevel Chico, CA, which would be similar to
Sacramento CA. in snowfall, etc. But we are 3000' higher than those
cities, and the snowfall difference is great. On the TV we do have the
interactive weather channel, which lists Mt. Shasta and Paradise CA, and
I sometimes look at both, and try to split the difference. Paradise is
lower, and Mt Shasta is both higher and to the North. There may well be
govt. weather stations on the web, and your message reminds me to look
them up. But there may be no place for long-term forecasts, calculated
on possible changes in overall world weather. Guess some things just
have to happen before we can know.

Here, we have had torrential rains this last day, and most of the snow
is gone.

Hi Annelle:

While the following web site may not answer all your questions about
snowfall, it provides useful information about snowfall averages around the
country.
