Attention:
We now have enough name suggestions. Unless someone strongly objects,
Sheryl and I have decided to go with shadegardens --it is to the point and
will let those who run across this name on lists of email discussion group
know at a glance what this list is about. Until we can get the change made
at the university, the name has to remain primroses.
The listowners are working on a set of guidelines which will be sent to the
group as soon as they are completed. Our only goal in hosting this group is
to have the discussions center around plants. We want to avoid all flaming
against other members and totally off the wall topics.
I've already received 2 complaints about lack of content in any of the
emails. Please, let's cooperate and make this informative.
I have 2 specific guidelines to implement right now: In the subject line,
if it is a totally humorous comment indicate "Humor: whatever" so that
those who don't wish to deal with it can quickly delete.
I don't want to see serious gardeners get so disatisfied that they drop off.
Limit your postings to no more than 2 a day.
Sheryl and I are working on a set of guidelines and will publish them as
soon as possible. Remember, it is 3 days before Christmas and presents have
to be wrapped, etc.
Happy Holidays,
