Hi, Diana. I grow a few different Arisaema, including Jack-in-the-Pulpit.
I had no idea one could get them to bloom on a windowsill. Since they are
blooming now, about 4 months ahead of schedule, I am wondering if they will
have gone into the dormant part of their cycle by April or May...I am
wondering if their natural cycle has been disturbed, or if they will just
'stay awake' longer, much as hosta seedlings started early indoors will.
Save this letter! I would like to know how they are doing next year, when
they have been outdoors for their first full season. Thanks. Also, do you
see any differences between your windowsill plants and outdoor plants, re:
1) vigor; 2) size; and 3) proportion of leaf to bloom?
