I grew two P. polyanthus 'Gold Laced' from seed I bought from T & M. I put
the pot in a somewhat sunny window of an enclosed back porch, enclosed in a
baggie. I placed several seeds in each of 6 pots, and only two plants
resulted. One was quite large and the other only 2" tall when it was time
to plant them out. The large one grew to mature size but did not blossom,
then died over the winter; the small plant I still have (it is four years
old this year and has not yet been large enough to divide), and it flowers
at the usual time, but with just a few blooms. I had tried to germinate
the same plant (from a different seed packet) the previous year, but not
one germinated.
