Clyde,
How did you first decide to begin using Miracid? Did you test your soil or
just experiment? I always end up having to use Miracid with my seedlings
after they are about a month old because they start looking chlorotic. I've
never had my water tested or my soil, although I've meant to. I don't have
too much of a problem with acid loving plants outside, although I do use
copperas around the plants. I've always been tempted to try watering outside
with it but chickened out, since they didn't look chlorotic.

Hi Kay! First of all Happiest of New Years to you!
I cannot remember how or why I started using Miracid. I think it was because
there were some plants that were yellowing.
At any rate, I have had great luck with it. It may be that it really does not
add anything!
Another reason I now use it is that I like for acid "loving" wildflowers to
grow. Asarums really take to it. (In fact, maybe others will tell us about
using acidifiers. The only genus that I have tried to grow that must have a
basic soil is Dianthus and its kin. Are there others?)
Best,
Clyde
