Hi, John. I also was surprised to read ("The Victory Garden Essential
Companion," p. 186) about a woman in Alabama who grew 15 species of
Trillium. Naturally, they were startlingly beautiful, and most won't grow
up here. Bibbs, you should add to your list Cyprepedium spp. (Lady's
Slipper) and cultivars. I have tried to grow it, but winter always
finishes it off. PS: The Victory Garden book has an entire chapter on
this Alabama woman and her various native plants.
