Hi gang, happy holidays to all. Remember a few months back when I asked
for info about a botanist's hand lens? Well, Santa brought me one and it
is really neat! It's a little 10X lens that swings out of a heavy steel
protective case, and I'll put it on a black cord and wear it around my
neck out in the field. It will also come in handy for antiquing--
inspecting maker's marks, etc. $18.
It came from the Herbarium Supply Company in Menlo Park, CA, and they also
sent a wonderful catalog, very elegant and full of irresistable supplies
like mounting paper, herbarium glue, plant presses, field books, etc. They
have an online catalog at www.HERBARIUMSUPPLY.com if anyone is interested.
