Did it bloom the year you purchased it? Are you sure you have the correct
bulb? Was it a good size when you received it? Connie, put it in the
compost and buy a new one. Better yet buy three and have a good show. Ours
blooms in midwinter, it never rests, always green. You do need to fertilize,
All of the large winter blooming bulbs here are watered from the bottom, the
surface soil is nearly alway dry. I put the bulbs under lights when buds
show, we do not have much clear sunny sky in upstate NY. Jim Shields post is
the best I have ever read on the subject.
