Hello Deborah,
We (the contractors) just completed installing enameled tin roofs on the old
smoke house and the garage here this week. We are considering copula and weather
vanes for each. We had lightening rods in mind, but can not find any of the old
fashioned ones that are tall and ornamental. Just the little, short, modern
strictly functional ones... ugly. Phooey! Could not find the decorative ridge caps
for the roofs either.
Near the nursery display area we hope to build a low raised area between two
mature trees. On that an arrangement of three different styles and heights of
birdbaths. Then seasonal pots in an arrangement with them to fill the raised
area. All will be viewed from my office patio door looking across the new deck on
the east side of the house.
Good thing half the fun of ornamentals for the garden is in the
seeking.........
