Gerry - Perhaps you saw the answer from Diane in Z.8 in British Columbia
- that she lost a daphne one winter?  I am in Z. 7 and think now I might
plant another - right by the house, as she mentions.  They grow rather
slowly for me, and I really ont want to be without a blooming daphne, if
I can help it!

Wayside lists this plant as an 8, as do other sources. But some say Z.
4, so Iwonder why the difference?  I too read that about the Alba being
more hardy, so I may go with that as my "backup".  Thanks again.
