While walking through the garden yesterday I noticed tiny little leaves
pushing up
through the old foliage that had been beaten down by our weather. Tiny little
bright-green crinkled lettuce leaves. Can flower buds be far behind? Bet we will
be seeing a few blooms by the middle to end of February. Winter will return, and
they will have to begin anew... but the little green noses on Primula polyanthus,
P.
veris (vulgaris will be right behind these)... Sure was a tonic for a dreary day.
Helleborus foetidus will be opeining those buds soon now. Niger won't be far
behind.
