a mini rose

Apologies for the off-topic post, but I was given a beautiful little
miniature rose with bright red flowers for Valentine's Day. I have often
admired these but never had the courage to buy one. I am told they are
hardy, and this one actually came from Canada. When may I plant it
outdoors? It will not be happy in my house for very long. What kind of
conditions will it like?
