I'm not sure if this question technically relates to shade gardening but I will ask anyway. I have a corn plant (dracena sp) that's in bloom right now. The last time it bloomed was about seven years ago. This was after the plant had undergone a lot of stress (underwatered, overheated, neglected). I was told this was the reason for sending out blooms. Currently the corn plant gets lots of TLC (watered, fertilized and good light) so I'm wondering why it's blooming now. The flowers are intensely fragrant. There is also a new shoot. Can anyone help with this puzzler?
