For most seedlings I use a little fert in each watering.
I use a good balanced fert with micro nutrients and mix it at about 1/10th
the recommended rate for normal application.

Some plants do not like "rich"soils-so those receive less.

It's best to provide steady nutrients instead of to much in one shot.
