Kay,
Tell me about the Convention. Which group is it? Where is it being held?
Is attendance open to us? Thanks!
Wyn
Dear Wyn,
Each year the Amer. Hosta Society holds a convention in a different city. At
the convention there are gardens to visit , judging clinics, scientific and
other meetings, good fellowship, good food, and good fun. It is open to
anyone who registers for it. There have been about 500 participants in the
last few years. If you are interested and know of someone who subscribes to
the Hosta Journal, there will be a registration form in the yearbook which
comes out in March. This year the convention is being held by my club, The
Central Illinois Hosta Society, in Peoria, Illinois. Hope I have answered
your questions and anyone else who is a shadegarden person and not
specifically a hosta person. I imagine you will be hearing a lot of
convention talk over the next few months. I think a lot of us "hosta
fanatics" forget about all of the diverse growers on the shadegardens ee,
sorry.
