To Robin Males:
Fellows: Now hear ye! It wasn't plants that did it. Nor was it garden
design. Cleaning almost made an impression, BUT not much happened until the
spirit of GOOD COOKING overtook me. At last - descriminating women now
notice me.
No one has yet mentioned an interesting plant found in my garden. It may no
longer be ALL there. Reports indicate that some of P. Whiz japonica has
escaped.
It's a glorious grower with huge variegated leaves that are quite edible
(substiute for cabbage). It also has fragrant and edible buds and flowers
that are up in February. The drawbacks may include: 1) strong love for
shade; 2) strong love for lawyers when their mouths are open. A cotton-like
substance is stuffed within. 3) strong attraction to strong women with a
rather firm tendency to creep into their bedrooms when windows are open. 4)
loves kudzu with ability to choke it rather efficiently. 5) rather
omni-directional - with strong need of a directional guidance system.
Question: dare I release this plant - assuming that it has not already
escaped. It may change the rhythm of gardening.
Best, Paul
