Shila:
I should have called it Seboldiana>Tenryu.  There are several Hostas from
Japan, from the area of the Tenryu river , with the word tenryu in their
name.  It is a practice with the Japanese to use the location where the
plant is found, as part of the name.  This does cause some coufusion, and I
think , as we (properly) use more of the established Japanese names for
existing plants, all of us are giong to have to learn more about how this
wotks.  In this case Seboldiana Tenryu  is a Seboldiana type. and we
believe that The plant known as Tenryu (I oun half of the original plant)
Is really a nigrescens type.  There will be more to this story as time goes
on, but that is all thet has devloped so far.
