I planted several varieties of Lenten Rose this past fall (H. niger and
H. orientalis as I recall). I have yet to see any life this late winter
and early spring (yes it is early spring in this wierd winter we are
having here in Cleveland).

Is this normal? I have heard that Helleborus is rather slow to start.
When do they normally break ground?
