Hi, Elaine and all....not sure if anyone mentioned it, yet, but
another wonderful plant for groundcover is pulmonaria.  They are great
in shaded areas, since they have foliage that is spattered with white,
and this helps brighten up some dark areas....not to mention the
wonderful blue/pink flowers in the spring!
