[SHADEGARDENS] L. cletheroides

Dear Robins:

Excuse the following - I was not able to post to Claire directly.

Hi Claire:

Thanks for the detailed information on L. cletheroides. I'd like to
take you up on your offer for some samples. I will definitely see you
on April 4th but May 2nd is problematic as there is some liklihood that
we may be invited to an obligatory wedding (bummer). The wedding is not
my first choice but my wife's vote is more influential than mine. Not a
sure thing, yet.

Our property is on a very steep slope and we have an unusually long
growing season with extraordinary protection from radiation frosts.
With an advective freeze (with wind) we get wiped along with everyone
else. With a strong inversion the temperature in the valley can be up
to 20F colder than at our place! I have a thermometer in the car and
watch the temperature fluctuate as I drive in the morning to get the
newspaper at my mailbox. The mailbox is at an elevation of about 800
feet below the house.

Thanks again for your help.

Mark, Woodstock, NY
