Could someone tell us the rarest of the rare varieties of the genus? Are
serrated edges common? What colors of flowers are available?
Whilst I was in England on sabbatical leave, I noticed that some gardeners
placed mirrors at the base of their plants so they could see fully the
beautiful flowers. Is this gauche, de trop?
Wyman's Gardening Encyclopaedia lists two snowdrops. At the January 1995 show
of the Royal Hort. Society, nursery ppl were selling up to 30 varieties. Is
there a U. S. source for ALL of the species and hybrids? Are there
intergeneric forms and/or varieties? Hybrids in the wilds?? Garden cultivars?
I apologize for not keeping you up to date about the formation of The Shade
Gardening Society. I shall respond soon. In the meantime, I am happy that
progress has been made on the website. Is there a URL for it yet?
Many thanks! I find this the BEST of all the gardening exchange groups. Many
huzzahs to our leaders!!
