Elaine,
You've had some excellent suggestions. I'm in Maryland, too, so anything I
can grow, you should be able to, unless you're way up in the mountains in
western MD where it's colder. Last June and July I did a series of eight
articles on groundcovers for shade for Suite101. You might find something
