Jennifer asked: Does anyone have any suggestions for flowering
bushes that like a lot of moisture and can handle mostly shade?
How about a Clethra (Summersweet)? There is the full sized one
with fragrant pink flowers or white and a new dwarf called
"Hummingbird." I don't have one myself, but I plan to get one this
season. Also, the Kerria japonica (single or double yellow flowers)
does well in shade and will take some moisture. Of course, if your soil
is well drained and acidic but moist, Rhododendrons, Azaleas, Pieris,
Kalmia, etc. may be possibilities (unless your zone is too warm for
them).
