[SHADEGARDENS] Some suggestions please!

First, Buttonbush is ADORABLE in bloom and I second this recommendation. I
don't grow it because I don't have the space but it grows wild out at the
lake, at the water's edge.

Second, Gooseberry is, to me, very ornamental. The fruit is a bonus. Last
year when our bumper crop of berries ripened, unfortunately, we were away
on vacation. When we returned, the birds had gotten them all! But I like
the shape of the plant, the size, and the leaves very much. Maybe this
summer I'll get a chance to make jam out of the berries.
