The AHS Robin is embroiled in what I consider an exercise in limiting
important info to its members.
The lawyer , Kev Walek, contends that the AHS Robin cannot post messages where
X says I have a great new hosta and I'll sell it for $25. His reasoning is
that the AHS is a Not-For-Profit Corpoartion and would be in violation of IRS
rules.
I disagree with him, since EVERYONE on the Robin is given the privilege of
sending that type of post.
I simply cannot understand why letting gardeners know of the availabilty and
price of a hosta(or any other plant) would violate an ambiguous(at best)
regulation of the IRS.
At any rate, the shadegardens listserve is not affiliated with a NFP
corporation---so use your discretion.
