Looking for climber

I have a wooden fence about 4' tall and 10' wide where I would like to plant
a climber.  I am looking for something that would grow relatively quickly
and either have flower or leaf interest.  For the last 3 years, I have tried
to grow silver lace here and on the other side of the gate.  The other side
apparently gets more sun as te silver lace has done a good job of climbing
up the fence, unto the house and up to the roof.  Twelve feet away the
silver lace is about 3' tall and very sad looking.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
