Kay and all
You are right, your not alone. What would your ideal lot have for tree
cover? My final solution to a Norway Maple that was sucking the life out of
everything was to have it move with a tree spade to a commercial lot. Now I
have sun instead of shade but everything is growing well and the remaining
feeder roots from the Maple are decomposing and improving the soil. No more
maple seedlings either.
