Bobbi,
Glenn's perspective was more on the historical aspect of the tree and the fact
that it was a smaller growing (15-20') tree. He mentioned that it was risky
at zone 5, and did mention a web site, Bartrum Gardens, which is trying to
trace all of the Franklin trees. I'm not sure if there is one growing in
Peoria or not.
Kay Dye, Edelstein, IL Zone 5, but always pushing 6 (which is why I wouldn't
mind trying a Franklin one day. I could grow it next to the mimosa tree I am
trying to grow in zone 5)
