Re: [SG] Made My day

Hello Wayne,
I am afraid that is the natural order of things down here. There is seldom
much snow cover, but winter temperatures and winds continue on schedule. A
lot of freezing and thawing. Just long enough to get the soil temps up and
then drops back down below freeing. Hard on plants and they sure do look
ratty by mid winter. Not much to be done but spring clean up in the garden.

While I am an organization person and enjoy neatness almost for its own
sake, I gave up on trying to do that with my garden or 5 acres some years
ago. I am getting too old for that kind of wasted energy in most areas of
my life today. Far too many other areas of more importance. Mostly today I
just accept and go on dealing with things as they come. Also turned loose
of the concept of perfection. Nature does not demand perfection from
herself so why should I?
Spring will be here soon now and we can all enjoy the renewal of the
plants and ourselves. Why, even your smile will probably return... Good
gardening, Gene
