Heavens no! The most fun is pronouncing the names---not how to grow them. <BG>
Coombes, DICTIONARY of PLANT NAMES (Timber Press 1993, 7th Ed.) gives this
pronunciation: ber-gen[accented]-ee-a. {But he also gives the pronunciation of
liriope as : lee-ree[accented]-o-pay.}
Maybe we should go back to Kipling:" There are one and twenty ways to make a
tribal lay---and every single one of them is right."
