Hi Leslie!
It is 74107. I had a soils test done at our extensions office prior to attempting to
grow the fescue. Because the trees on my lot are oaks my soil is acidic. Most homes
in Tulsa grow bermuda in the sun and fescue in the shade. Our garden stores here
carry a fescue blend that is recommended for this region. They used to carry Rebel 2
but went to a blend instead. I think the shade from my oaks is killing my fescue.
When I would seed in early spring, prior to the trees leafing out, my grass would come
up and look great until the trees shaded the ground. I have an irrigation system
which was set up by a horticulture student who used to care for my lawn so water
shouldn't be my problem. I give up on the fescue! I would like to plant larger
shrubs and perennials closest to my fence and work down in size to ground covers. I
would also like to place some stepping stones through the yard to walk on. Would it
be possible to send a photograph of this mess to the list? I would love all the help
and advice I can get!
Thanks so much for all your help!!
Kenda
