Re: [SG] OT- Germinating Stewartia

Have any of you who live in warmer locations (warmer than Nova Scotia
anyway!) ever germinated Stewartia pseudocamellia (a deciduous tree which
grows to about 50 ft and has wonderful white flowers)?

Got some seeds in Vancouver last year. Planted some on the surface, some
under the soil. (Started in August, as advised.)

Seeds on the surface still look "plump", havn't rotted. Have resisted (for
once!) digging up seeds under ground. Didn't do any "stratifying"- but
they are in our greenhouse, which hits 5C most nights.

Am I just being impatient? Any advice?
