Re: grasses

Actually, Hank, there are quite a few. Last year or so I hunted up a
list for someone, which has unfortunately been wiped off my box by
some computer gremlin....I was surprised at the number. In addition
to taking Bob's advice and writing to Gary at Amberwaves, get your
hands on some of the good ornamental grass books out there....The
Encyclopedia of Ornamental Grasses by John Greenlee is one and
Gardening with Grasses by King and Oudolf is another.

Here's a web page with a lot of links to information about grasses on
the web:

BTW, while email can be almost instantaneous, it often takes a few
days to get a reply to a question...

Can anyone help me with suggestions for grasses that can be
successfully grown in light shade (or heavy shade) in my zone 4
garden? Has anyone had success with any of the grasses that are
listed as zone 5?
