subscibe/unsubscribe

Hi everyone
        I find the instructions for this list as confusing as anyone else. I am
sending the command to remove youself or join.

If you were going to remove or unsubscribe  from the list, you
would send an email addressed to:

 LISTSERV@MAELSTROM.STJOHNS.EDU

and in the body of the email write:

SIGNOFF shadegardens XXXXX@XXXX.COM   which is your email address.

        To join the list send a command that says
SUBSCRIBE shadegardens "Your name"  which means your name and not your
email address.


        These work well if you are changing your email address. I hope I got
this right.
