One thing I like about Home Depot is - keep your receipt, and if the plants

Well, to answer your question, I work at Home Depot and have been told by
lots the customers that we have a good selection of plants and shrubs. We
have a very low prices. But I couldn't tell you if we are better then
Lowe's because I have never been in a Low's. But I have been told that we
are.

The good thing about Home Depot is that the individual department heads are
given the freedom and authority to order what they think they need and what
they think they can sell. This also can be the drawback. A bad department head
can absolutely ruin the store's reputation. (Same holds true of Lowes BTW)
Both have low price garantees. If the plants look bad at one, find another. I
have seen very good and very bad in the same market. Home depot carries
approximately twice the staff per store as a Lowes store, of coarse Home Depot
does about twice the sales per store as a Lowes store. Which sends the whole
thing back to the department head.
