Lowes & Home Depot - same company??

It sure shocked me when I read on Shadegarden that Home Depot & Lowes are
owned by the same company. I hate to question you, but what is your source?

In my New Orleans area we only have lots of Home Depot, now I hear they're
gonna build a Lowes 5 minutes from me.
