Sheila, You can find seeds for them in Park's catalog. I grew mine easily
from seed. When I first grew them I couldn't find any information on them
so it was a blind sowing and growing. The seeds are very tiny and so I
assumed surface sowing. The temps they germinated at was around 68 degrees
F. This was in February I potted them up soon after germination and placed
them under lights and grew them on. I acclimated them to outdoors and
planted them out in a raised bed. I have grown them in full sun (PNW
climate) and dappled to partial shade. I think they look best in shade and
now have some growing with Helleborus. The foliage of the hellebores are a
great background to these plants. The succulent leaves are nice and there
is a variegated form 'Jim's Pride' that is wonderful.

They divide easily and like well drained humus rich soil. Mine are never
fertilized and I keep meaning to try growing some that I fertilize to see
how they do, but keep forgetting to. Mine are grown in a cool maritime
climate so I wouldn't have a clue how they would do in the midwest.

Here are two pages with a little info on them that I did:

I think they are sweet little plants and glad I took a chance with them
when I first found the seed. The plants I have now are divisions of the
original plants I grew. 'Jim's Pride I purchased from either Mt Tahoma
Nursery or Heronswood. Can't remember now, but think it was Mt. Tahoma.
Both are in their catalogs this year.
