Kathy,
All of Marge's listed shade plants do well for me in zone 5/6 except
Brunnera. I have tried it and tried it and it dwindles away. Half a mile a
way, there's a house with the side yard filled with it, so I know this is
just me. Corydalis lutea is easy but demands well-drained, even gritty,
soil.
To add to the list, just about all ferns. Epimediums. Hellebores. If this
is deciduous deep shade, the "minor" bulbs. There's lots more, I just
can't think of them either right now.
