Re: tiger lilies VIRUS to Lily of the Valley

There is a large colony of Lily of the Valley planted near our side door
that get really nasty looking in the fall: black streaks and round black
blotches everywhere. They seem OK before this happens, altho I haven't paid
close attention to them. Is this normal, or do they have some virus or
disease?  If the latter, is it something I should worry about spreading to
other plants?  (There are iris of several kinds, tulips, daffodils,
echinacea, polygonum, peonies, clematis, and other flowers in the area too.)
