I[ve been hearing a lot on other lists about putting amendments on top of
the soil and letting gravity/nature/earthdwellers incorporate it into lower
soil. Easy may be better.  They're also saying that organic matter tilled
into soil doesn't benefit the soil as much as og placed on top, and allowed
to work down on its own.  Margaret L
