Re: money overseas and seed safety through mail

I did email him and told him what I planned (money in envelope).  He is
really nice and even said I could email him the order and he'd send it right
along.

I plan to print out the info on the post office and take it to them the next
time this comes up.

On another note...
I was wondering, with the heightened security and anthrax scares what is the
status of seed viability when mailing?  We had a big discussion about this
last year, I think, and all were concerned that the new machines the
envelopes are scanned with would destroy the seeds.  We were concerned that
it would put seed companies out of business and severely limit the ability to
send seeds through the mail.  I take it that this hasn't come to be?
Stratified seeds coming from Australia would probably go through quite a few
machines.
