Clyde, Aconitums need cool nights in order to fluorish...according to Alan
Armitage. He says that's one of the reasons that most tend to not do well
south of zone 7....of course, he's talking the southeastern zone 7. Many
plants that grow in full sun in the north are grown in a fair amount of
shade in the south. That might actually be an interesting topic of
conversation on this list...which plants do southerners grow in the shade
that we northerners grow in the sun. For instance, the experts at the Uof
Wis say that you should plant your azaleas in the sun for them to do well
here....even though it seems that most southerners grow them in the
