[SHADEGARDENS] Primula/Lobelia/Pulmonaria

Just a quick note tonight...have any of you in zone 5/4/3 grown any other
primulas besides bullesiana, denticulata, japonica, pubescens, veris, or
vulgaris? I'm looking for some others to add to my collection, but don't
like the idea of buying something that wimps out after a year or so.
Japonica has reseeded nicely in my shade.

A second question....have any of you noticed that Lobelia 'Queen Victoria'
is not attractive to hummingbirds? Last summer, I watched the hummers go
from one Lobelia cardinalis to another (they've also reseeded in the shade),
and completely ignore the larger flowers of QV. This happened over and
over...which makes me think that it must be pollenless....never thought to look.

Third, if you haven't seen the pulmonaria 'Paul Aden', you're missing a
lovely cultivar.....makes Mrs. Moon and Roy Davidson look like also-rans.
Thanks much for any answers to the questions. Jean Bawden-Madison, Wi
