Pottsey,
This doesn't spread like wildfire, but does move out steadily once
established. If it's going too slow for you, take a few cuttings in the
spring and root them to make more plants. It will also spread faster where
the soil is loose and organic (not easy under a tree), but if you mulch it
well with pine bark, or something like, and keep it moist (but not soggy),
it will spread faster.
