I recently joined the group and so far have just been reading the
interesting chatter going back and forth.
I am a hostaholic but also have pulmonaria, heuchera, astilbe, various
grasses, sedums, and various groundcovers. If I see it and I like it, I
find a spot for it in my surburban yard which is mostly shade but with
some sunny areas. No grand design to my planting areas - just islands
getting bigger and bigger and grassy areas getting smaller and smaller.
I do a lot of hosta rearranging and have enticed neighbors to start
hosta beds.
I am in zone 5 in Northwest Indiana and yes it is cold and we have a lot
of snow.
I am also a new internet user and am getting great web sites for my
"favorites" from some of these messages. Thanks.
