Re: [SG] re Corydalis

Betty,
I'm in zone 5 also and am growing corydalis bleu panda. I've had no problem
with wintering them over in three different locations for about 3 or 4 years.
We've been down to 20 below this winter with all that wonderful snow cover,
so I'm hoping they'll be ok.

I'll tell you what I do with special ferns that are zone 5/6. I build a
little tent around them with some 1 x 2 stakes and staple burlap around on the
stakes. When it gets really cold, usually over Christmas vacation, I throw
some leaves in on top of the plant inside the tent. I have had good luck
wintering things that are marginal here. Maybe you could try that.
