Re: [SG] ivy

 I have a really hard time seeing anyone plant the common ivy in their garden
as I have been doing battle against it for the three years Ive been gardening
here. The prior owners were not gardeners and planted a mix of ivy and
pachysandra. Yikes! Its taken me two years to get the upper hand with it in
the back garedns and every year I spend weeks digging it out. It is also a
haven for poison ivy as was said in another note. I finally was able to kill
small portions of it at a time by covering it with sheets of wet
newspaper,soil and mulch but of course this takes time.
